About David

The images in this site are but a fraction of David's photographic collection containing transparencies taken over the past twenty five years, and he has recently added digital to his equipment inventory.

I gained Licentiateship of the Royal Photographic Society in 1987, and Associateship (ARPS) in 1990. Four years on I submitted a successful portfolio to achieve the Distinction of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (DPAGB). A result of having over 100 of my images accepted in salons and exhibitions worldwide – some attaining gold and silver medals, is the Excellence distinction of the Federation Internationale l'Art Photographique (EFIAP). In January 2008 I enrolled as a member of the Photographic Society of America (PSA)

I am a current member and past president of Whickham Photographic Club, and, since 1989 - when I began taking medium format slides, also hold membership of Edinburgh Photographic Society.

David's equipment

My equipment is as follows:- CANON EOS 5D and CANON EOS 3 cameras, with lenses from 20mm to 400mm, MANFROTTO tripod and monopod, and, to assist with my landscape work – LEE graduated filters, and this kit is carried in a LOWEPRO bag.
